elipsLife invests in SOBRADO

elipsLife acquires 10% of SOBRADO Software AG share capital. With this substantial investment in the leading provider of online services for insurers and brokers, elipsLife backs the continued digitalisation in the insurance industry. elipsLife will also be joining the Board of Directors of SOBRADO Software AG. 

In the course of the opening of the ownership structure of SOBRADO Software AG in Cham, elipsLife is acquiring 10% of the company’s share capital. SOBRADO is the leading provider of online services in the interface between brokers and insurers. The software company serves as an important transaction platform and is a key communication channel within the industry. In the future, the company would like to offer brokers even more services. The anchor shareholders of the software company are Swiss Life, AXA and Mobiliar.

With a 10% stake, elipsLife is taking a clear stance – for the continued digitalisation in the world of insurance and for the brokerage industry. SOBRADO has made big waves in terms of technology and digitalisation in the Swiss insurance market. The company is also fully established within the Swiss insurance and pension market and is supported by leading insurers and brokers. Patricia Mattle, CEO Switzerland/Liechtenstein of elipsLife, comments on the motivation behind the investment: “We see the digitalisation of the cooperation between brokers and insurers as an essential requirement to achieve further growth in the insurance market. As part of this investment, Patricia Mattle is becoming a member of the Board of Directors of SOBRADO Software AG. Her election will take place on 24 September 2020 on the occasion of an exceptional General Meeting of SOBRADO Shareholders.
