elipsLife strengthens its Executive Board and Board of Directors
Kaspar Weiss has been appointed the new Chief Information Officer of elipsLife
In order to forge ahead with the expansion of its IT infrastructure, elipsLife has strengthened the management of its IT department: on 1 March 2013, Kaspar Weiss from Volketswil will take over as the Chief Information Officer (CIO). As a new member of the Executive Board, he will be in charge of all IT matters for the life insurance company.
With Kaspar Weiss, a highly qualified IT specialist with many years of experience is taking over responsibility for elipsLife's Information Technology department. From 2001 to 2005, Kaspar Weiss worked for Sunrise as Customer Care Director and Head Technical Support. From 2005 to 2009, he worked for British Telecom as International Head of Services Operations in charge of customer support and network operations in large parts of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. From 2009 until most recently, Kaspar Weiss worked for Swisscom Switzerland Ltd as Head of Service Center & Assurance, in which position he was responsible for ensuring the availability and quality of all Swisscom's networks and IT applications.
With the expansion of its IT infrastructure, elipsLife is laying the foundation for sustainable and cost-effective administration services that will meet all quality requirements and boost the company's competitiveness.
Peter Huber joins the Board of Directors
In the face of the strong growth currently experienced by elipsLife as life insurer in its core business, the company also appointed a new member to its Board of Directors. With Peter Huber, Global Head Life & Health Distribution Propositions at Swiss Re, Zurich, an experienced life insurance specialist is joining the Board of Directors of elipsLife. Before Peter Huber joined Swiss Re in August 2012, he held managerial positions with Swiss Life and Allianz, among others.
